Look, guys, I don’t know how this happened, but they are letting me up on stage at the Northwest Flower and Garden Show in Seattle tomorrow to talk about vegetables and cook food in front of an audience. There is a pretty good chance I’ll pass out from stage fright right into my Sunchoke Soup.
And that would be funny. Seriously, you should come see it. Bring a camera.
If you are in the area, please come join me as I demo how to make delicious stuff with winter veggies that you might have in your garden right this very second, like:
Cauliflower
Brussels Sprouts
and Jerusalem Artichokes.
I’ll be on the DIY Stage as part of the Garden to Table Cooking Series at 1:30 pm on Wednesday the 20th, and I’ll be back with a whole different set of recipes on Saturday the 23rd, also at 1:30.
I hope to see you there! And not just because I’m going to need someone to pull me out of the soup bowl. Are you coming?

I’ll be there for both seminars! I’m really excited to hear you in person (and get recipes for cauliflower and Brussels sprouts.) You are going to rock the Convention Center.

Somehow “choke” soup is so perfect for how you’re feeling, but I’m pretty certain you won’t live up to that. I won tickets last year (through a haiku contest on facebook, how random is that?!) and really enjoyed my time talking with people and listening to seminars. But, good FOOD demos?! That takes it to a whole different level of fabulous.

I guess I really like ?! today. Can you tell I’m on day #10 of being homebound? (?!)

If you get nervous, just channel Julia Child.
Have fun!

You are going to be fantastic! Get on up there and make that presentation your bitch.
I wish I could come. I’m working. I’d rather be there dorking out along with the rest of the NW Garden Nerds. *sigh* Too bad dorking out doesn’t pay my student loans!
Have fun!!

I’m coming on Wed, and looking forward to your presentation.

Would love to drop by if I were there Erica- I’m sure you will be brilliant and I’m excited your focussing your cooking demo on fantastically rich and nourishing winter veg. I just know you’ll inspire more people to try thier hand at growing great veg but also maybe seeing how easy they are to turn into GREAT meals will encourage folk to just seek out these tasty winter warmers and help in creating demand for them in local markets. Have a great time, one day I may get a chance to see your work firsthand 🙂
